: There are lots of us out here. As I've mentioned before, there are lines from England, from Germany, from Ireland, from Wales, from France, etc.
: There is no single Moses family tree -- you'll need to specify which line you are researching, or perhaps which part of the country.
: But the basic message is -- you are not alone. My grandmother was a MOSES.
: There are of course many non-white MOSES families as well.
: The sheer number of different MOSES lines out there is why you need to be specific when you ask a question -- there could be many possible answers, depending on which line you look at.

Hi - My name is Carolyn and I am a Moses. My grandmother is Mary Lee Moses and my grandfather's name was Gaither A. Moses (but I never got to meet him or know him). I am also searching for others who may be closely related to me. I believe my great grandfather's name was David Moses and my great grandmother's name was Francis Helms Moses. Because of a divorce (I lived mostly with my mother in another state, I never really got to know a lot of the Moses' family (my father's side). I believe a number of the Moses in my family were from Burke, Cleveland, Lincoln counties or thereabouts. Some of them may have been in upstate South Carolina. I would be extremely grateful to anyone who can assist me in tracing my family and actually locating some of my living family members. I wish you success in finding yours. I welcome e-mail at Cmcamidge@aol.com. thanks!
